Massa Lubrense
Traces of the past, incomparable natural scenarios, between land and sea
The town of Massa Lubrense, in a privileged panoramic position, occupies the extreme edge of the Sorrento Peninsula. Stretching out into the Tyrrhenian Sea almost touching the island of Capri, it acts as a watershed between the gulfs of Naples and Salerno.
Villa Murat is located in the village of Santa Maria Annunziata within walking distance of Villa Luisa , in one of the most enchanting views of Capri and on the gulf of Naples. The 17th century Villa hosted in October 1800 Joachim Murat , king of Naples and brother-in-law of Napoleon Bonaparte. Here, facing the blue island, October 17 was signed the act of surrender from Sir Hudson Lowe. Today the Villa belongs to the Sersale family who restored it, bringing it back to its former glory, and made it a place for exclusive events and luxury holidays. Upon reservation it is possible to visit it inside.
Always a short distance from Villa Luisa we find the Church of the Annunziata , of fourteenth-century origins, with valuable marble inlays; The Belvedere with the adjacent Turbolo Tower and a splendid view of the island of Capri, Punta San Lorenzo, Monte San Costanzo and the whole Gulf of Naples.
For trekking lovers there are many walks, just put on a pair of mountain boots and go through lemon groves, vegetable gardens, olive groves until you find yourself suspended on views overlooking the sea: Monte San Costanzo, the Tore with the pine forest, Torca in front of the mythical islets of Li Galli, the Bay of Ieranto overlooking the sea, Punta Campanella up to the Temple of the Goddess Minerva, where the myth wants the Sirens who bewitched Ulysses lived.

In the magnificent scenery of the Gulf of Naples is one of the most famous places in the world, Capri, the queen of social life and luxury, a meeting point for political personalities, jet set characters and movie stars. A landscape of wild beauty sculpted by the wind, the sea and the brilliant imprint of man. In the cobalt blue of its sea, there is a succession of caves, the most famous being the Blue Grotto, and of Faraglioni, large rocky rocks that have become the symbol of the island. Filled with characteristic corners: tuff houses, terraced roofs, arches, pergolas, winding streets that emerge on Piazza Umberto I, known as the Piazzetta, a real outdoor living room,
NAPLES
Naples strikes the visitor for its liveliness, for the splendid colors of the sea but also for its history that resurfaces in every corner of the ancient center, the largest in Europe, an authentic open-air museum.
Everywhere you look, you can see fascinating glimpses, tabernacles, churches and baroque obelisks. The ancient manual arts meet, from that of the cribs (San Gregorio Armeno) to the incomparable one of the master luthiers, up to the ancient Borgo degli Orefici. There are endless itineraries that can be followed by choosing a visit to the castles, museums, villas and historic buildings or a tour of the many churches that house sculptural and pictorial masterpieces of enormous value.
AMALFI COAST
A unique landscape in the world: bays, inlets and picturesque villages which, in a miracle of balance, cling to the mountain. The blue of the sea, the green of the Mediterranean scrub, the colors and lines of the small houses blend perfectly together, creating one of the most beautiful routes on the Italian coast. Amalfi, Ravello, Vietri sul Mare and Positano are some of the precious pearls that make up the series of small villages (12 in all) of the coast. Small living nativity scenes, with their ancient alleys, arches and squares, which fascinate for the atmosphere, sounds and scents they emanate.
POMPEII ed HERCULANEUM
The archaeological excavations of the ancient Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, offer an incomparable picture of society and daily life in classical antiquity. Here time seems to have stopped allowing every visitor to travel into the past thanks to the well-preserved remains of the volcanic lava
the archaeological area has been included among the 55 Italian sites protected by Unesco in the World Heritage List.
SORRENTO
Lying on a tuff terrace overlooking the sea … Sorrento. In this glimpse of paradise, jagged and inaccessible coasts alternate with small and hidden beaches that give life to a unique landscape. Here man’s work has been great. The most inaccessible areas today are transformed by a series of terraces sloping down to the sea, used to cultivate citrus fruits, olive trees and vines. These are the gardens from which the intoxicating scents of oranges, lemons and orange blossoms exhale.
ISCHIA
Lying in the waters of the Gulf of Naples, Ischia offers a crystalline sea, unspoiled landscapes, places of cultural interest and over three hundred spas.
Its very jagged coasts are characterized by an alternation of promontories, inlets and long beaches where sea water mixes with the hot water of the thermal-mineral springs that flow a few meters from the shoreline. The island, of volcanic nature, hides in the subsoil a very high concentration of thermal basins and a great variety of waters that make it the “capital of European spas”.
VESUVIUS
Probably the most famous volcano in the world for the eruption that destroyed the cities of Pomei, Ercolano and Stabiae in 79 AD, for its size that dominates the Gulf of Naples, for its history and for the frequency of its eruptions. It is an explosive volcano, whose last eruption took place in 1944. Immersed in the territory of the national park of the same name, it offers an incomparable view of the entire Gulf from its peak.
